Spiritual rebirth (to become the Sons of God), true quality of Life.
What did Jesus mean when he told Nicodemus in St. John 3:3, “You must be born again”?
Let’s consider the answer to this question like this: To be Born Again necessitates a change from one life form to another.
The Seed in a woman’s ovary must change to an Embryo, an Embryo must change to an air breathing Person and a Person that is born into sin MUST be changed through the Precious Blood of Jesus to a Saint.
Every life-change necessitates a specific process to accomplish the desired results.
In St. John 1:11-13 Jesus said, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. *But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: *Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Here we find that one quality for being Born Again is that a person MUST RECEIVE Jesus as their personal Saviour, in order to be Born Again.
A wise man by the name of Job said, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” Job 14:1
If the days of man/woman are full of trouble, wouldn’t you think they would want to do whatever was necessary to get out of trouble?
Job again said, “How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?” Job 25:4
Justification only comes by accepting Jesus as your personal Saviour. This is verified in Acts 13:39, By him all that believe are justified from all things and in Romans 5:1-10, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ/Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Praise His Holy Name!
The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 9:6 said, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
It is only through and by the Precious Blood of Jesus that mankind can find and have that Perfect Peace, that Peace that passeth all understanding. Philippians 4:7
King Solomon, a person that was considered to be the wisest person that ever lived said, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Don’t you think it’s time you gave your heart and life to Jesus? If you say, “I have already done that.”
Do you think that it is possible that you could serve Him more perfectly? I think all of us could affirm these words.
The Prophet Ezekiel said, “As for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. Ezekiel 16:4
I don’t know about you, but I love being pampered. And that is just what Jesus wants to do with and for everyone that is willing to allow Him to come into their life. Praise His Holy Name!
In the Book of 1st Peter we read, Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; *But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: *Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, *Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. *Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: **Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1st Peter 1:18-23
Jesus said, “He, the person that believeth in Me though he were dead, yet shall he live. St. John 11:25-26.
And in the next verse He said, “Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1st John 2:29
Righteousness is doing the Word of God. Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my words.”
St. John 14:23
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1st John 3:9
To be Born of God is to be like Jesus, which makes us of the God-Kind. And because we know that Jesus said that He only did what His Father told Him to do, (because He loved Him), then we are to do likewise (because we love Jesus).
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1st John 4:7
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1st John 5:2-3
Some Ministers, and some people in general, will tell you that it is not important to keep or observe or do God’s Commandments.
But the Word of God tells me that a Born Again person/Saint will keep, observe and do His Commandments because they love Him and want to please Him.
Keeping God’s Commandments isn’t something one does to be Saved or Born Again - but it is the evidence, or if you will, the Fruit that verifies that one is, in fact, Born Again. Praise His Holy Name!
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1st John 5:18
The Apostle John said, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. *By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
*For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. *For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. *Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? *This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is Truth. 1st John 5:1-6
There is no denying the Truth. Truth is simply that, Truth and it cannot be diminished in any way and still be Truth. Otherwise, it is only partially true and is good for nothing.
In closing, let’s read what Jesus has to say in St. John 3:3-8, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. *Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? *Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. *That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. *Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. *The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
The Kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17
A person that is not truly Born Again cannot fully experience or see the Kingdom of God.
Jesus is the Son of God, that was made flesh, and we are flesh that is being made the Sons of God. Praise His Holy Name!
