Jesus, The Beginning of The Creation of God

Sermons - Book 1

Without Jesus, there is no beginning.

There are some that do not like to think that Jesus was created but according to Scripture, He was.

In Genesis 1:3 we read, And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Jesus was that light!

Another thought to begin with is that Jesus, in essence, said that His Father is greater than Him.

I have not spoken of my self; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. *And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. St. John 12:49-50

Now that we have made it up the steps and onto the porch, let’s go through the front door and see what the Angel of the Lord Jesus said to John in Revelation 3:14, Unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

Here, Jesus said that He was/is the Beginning of The Creation of God. Jesus is the True Witness.

In Colossians 1:15 the Apostle Paul said that, Who (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: The writer of the Book of Hebrews said Jesus is the Express Image of God.

In 2nd Corinthians 4:4 we read In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Here the Apostle Paul said (satan) the god of this world has blinded the eyes and the minds of them that believe not (TRUTH).

The Truth is: there is one God and He has a son whose name is Jesus. Praise His Holy Name!

In Hebrews 1:1-5 we read, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, *Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; *Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; *Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. *For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

The writer of the Book of Hebrews states that Jesus was MADE so much better than the Angels.

The key word here is, MADE. In the first Chapter of the Book of Genesis Jesus said, Let us make man in OUR image. And the Apostle John in St. John 1:3 that everything was made by Him, Jesus.

We read In Genesis 1:3, And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Jesus in St. John 9:5 said that He was/is the Light of the World and in Revelation 21:23 the Angel of the Lord told John that Jesus is/will be the light of that great city, the holy Jerusalem, (Heavenly Kingdom) that will come down from heaven above.

In St. John 1:6-12 we read, There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. *The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. *He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. *That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. *He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. *He came unto his own, and his own received him not. *But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Here the Apostle John witnesses that John the Baptist said that Jesus is The TRUE Light that lighteth every man.

Another Scripture in 1st John 2:10 says, He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. Jesus is the one that gives mankind that kind of love.

Here’s that Scripture we referred to earlier in Revelation 21:23 that states, And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

In Isaiah 60:19-20 we read, The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. *Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Isaiah is another witness that states that Jesus is the LIGHT; not only is He the Light but He is an EVERLASTING Light. Praise His Holy Name!

St. John 8:12 states, Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

King David in Psalms 119:130 said, The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Jesus is the Word of God, Jesus is the Word made flesh, Jesus is the Light, and Jesus is the LIFE. Praise His Holy Name!
