WIND

Breath; a natural movement of air; idle words; a destructive force.

The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 26:3 wrote; THOU wilt keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

The LORD has Promised that HE will Provide EVERYTHING that the Saints have need of when they Serve HIM in Spirit and in Truth.

King Solomon in Proverbs 24:14 wrote; Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and Wind without rain.

There are many so-called Prophets and Prophetess that proclaim that the LORD has told them to say this or that when the LORD has NOT Spoken to them.

One way to verify whether or not that which someone has said is true or not is to see if what they have said lines up with that which is Written in the Word of Truth, the Bible.

GOD (YHWH) can NOT and will NOT go against HIS Own Word. One example of this is where the LORD told Ezekiel that he would have to cook his food using his own dung, Ezekiel 4:12; to this Ezekiel said, “my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth” verse 14; then, the LORD said, “I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith” verse 15.

So you see the LORD will Honor HIS Word to us when we Honor HIS Word to HIM.

In Hosea 8:7 (a) the Prophet Hosea wrote; For they have sown the Wind, and they shall reap the Whirlwind:

When the Saints Sow Good Seed in Good Ground then, the LORD will have Respect unto that which they have done; however, when we Do things Contrary to the Written Word of Truth, the Bible; that which we have done will be as NO thing in the eyes of the LORD.

We read in Job 6:25-26; How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? **Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as Wind?

Right Words always work; right Words either Confirm or Condemn; one can NOT effectively argue against Right Words.

I remember one time years ago when visiting a church group in Salem, Oregon; we were Reading the Bible and discussing Scripture when some of the Souls (people) began to say, “we Believe thus and so” to which I responded, “the Word of the LORD says, thus and so” after a while their Pastor said, “you (yawl) may as well be quiet because he is taking you apart with the Word of the LORD.” The Word ALWAYS Works!

Words that are NOT according to Truth are like the Wind that can NOT be seen to accomplish any good.

In Job 38:1-3 we read; Then the LORD answered Job out of the Whirlwind, and said, *Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? *Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will Demand of thee, and answer thou ME.

The LORD can use that which causes great destruction like a Whirlwind (Cyclone or Tornado) to Accomplish HIS Good Works; like, when HE Took Elijah Up in a Whirlwind; GOD can Use a Whirlwind as a means of Communication and HE can Use a Whirlwind as a means of Transportation.

The Apostle James in James 1:2-8 wrote; My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; *Knowing this, that the trying of your Faith worketh patience.

I don’t know about you but I don’t find much joy in Temptations; no doubt, if one can contain themselves and NOT fall to Temptations then, they may be able to perceive the Joy therein.

*But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

It is only after we have Resisted Temptation and we have Overcome Temptation that we can find any Real Joy therein.

*If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD, that Giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Part of the Wisdom that Comes from the LORD; Comes from Reading, Studying and Meditating on the Written Word of Truth, the Bible.

**But let him ask in Faith, nothing wavering.

Part of what the Apostle James is saying here is; whenever we Ask anything of the LORD; we should make sure that we Ask of HIM According to that which is Written in HIS Holy Word, the Bible.

*For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the Wind and tossed. *For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the LORD. *A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

When we Ask of the LORD that which is NOT According to HIS Will and HIS Word; it’s kind of like when we were children and our mother was baking cookies, and we ask her if we can have a cookie and then, knowing that we have been doing things that we should not have been doing we simply run away, not really expecting to receive a cookie.

On the other hand; when we have been doing things that please our parents; we can ask a cookie from our mother and hold our hand out because we expect to get a cookie.

In like manner, when we have NOT been living According to the Written Word of Truth, the Bible; we can NOT expect the LORD to Answer our Prayer in accordance to our request; however, when we have been Walking in the Light (Truth) as HE is in the Light (Truth) we should expect the LORD to Answer our Prayer Request and Look for HIS Answer to Come into Being.

In St. John 3:5-8 the Apostle John wrote; Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I Say unto thee, Except a man be Born of water and of the Spirit, he can NOT Enter into the Kingdom of God.

To be Born of the water is to be Baptized in the NAME of Jesus for the Remission of sins (it is the Burial of the old man of sin that the New man (a Saint) may Rise into the Newness of Life in Jesus.

To be Born of the Spirit is to Receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.

*That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is Born of the Spirit is Spirit. *Marvel not that I Said unto thee, Ye MUST be Born Again.

Everyone has been born into sin but NOT everyone will be Borne Again Into the Newness of Life.

**The Wind Bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is Born of the Spirit.

We can feel, hear and see the effects of the Wind but NO one can see the Wind. In like manner; we can sometimes feel, hear and see the Effects of the Holy Spirit but I don’t know of anyone that has actually see the Holy Ghost.

The Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 37:9-10 wrote; Then said HE unto me, Prophesy unto the Wind, Prophesy, son of man, and say to the Wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four Winds, O Breath, and Breathe upon these slain, that they may live. *So I Prophesied as HE Commanded me, and the Breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

This Scripture here in Ezekiel 37 kind of reminds me of what the LORD Did at Creation when HE Breathed into the nostrils of Adam and he became a Living Soul. That Soul (person) which the LORD has Given the Breath Life; has Life and that Soul (person) that the LORD Gives the Baptism of the Holy Ghost has Life More Abundantly. It Takes the Breath (Wind) of the Almighty for a Soul (person) to Endure to the End.

In Ephesians 4:11-16 the Apostle Paul wrote; And HE Gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers; *For the Perfecting of the Saints, for the Work of the Ministry, for the Edifying of the Body of Christ:

Every part of the Body is Necessary in order to have a Perfect Life. When one portion (part) of the body is NOT functioning properly then, the rest of the body may be ill effected because of the lack.

*Till we all come in the Unity of the Faith, and of the Knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect man, unto the Measure of the Stature of the Fulness of Christ:

Unity in Truth does NOT come easy; it Takes the Power of the Holy Spirit of the LORD to Bring about Perfect Unity. Until we are willing to let the LORD have HIS Perfect Will and Work in us; we will NOT experience or see the Effects of Perfect Unity. With OUT Unity, kayos will continue to plague us.

**That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every Wind of Doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Many False Doctrines, that were Derived from Pagan Beliefs, have crept into the churches by so-called (Christianizing) them; that which the LORD has Declared by HIS Holy Written Word, the Bible as being sin or Unclean, can NOT be made Holy by mankind.

We need to come to the place where we let the Written Word of Truth, Scriptures in the Bible, Interpret the Written Word of Truth, Scripture in the Bible, because the Word of the LORD is of NO private Interpretation, 2nd Peter 1:20.

*But speaking the Truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ: *From whom the Whole Body Fitly Joined Together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the Body unto the Edifying of Itself in love.

Jesus Knows how to Bring about the Perfection of the Saints; therefore, let’s leave EVERY thing in His Hands.

King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 11:4 wrote; He that observeth the Wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

We can NOT afford to let the things that we hear and see discourage us from Following on to Know and Do Righteousness, which is the Truth, according to the Written Word of God.

In Psalms 103:13-16 King David wrote; Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD Pitieth them that Fear HIM.

To Fear the LORD is to Hate evil, Proverbs 8:13 and Hating evil is Wisdom. When a Soul (person) truly Hates evil, they will Avoid evil at ALL cost.

*For HE Knoweth our frame; HE Remembereth that we are dust. *As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. **For the Wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

The natural Winds that Blow upon the earth vary in form and magnitude; the Destruction that Wind can Accomplish can be very deadly at times.

The LORD Knows what each Soul (person) can endure thus, HE will Provide that which is needed if we will Truly Trust and Serve HIM in Spirit and in Truth.

We read in Acts 2:1-4; When the day of Pentecost was fully, they were all with one accord in one place.

Wouldn’t it be great if we all could come together today in ONE mind and in ONE accord so that the LORD could do HIS Perfect Work in us?

**And suddenly there came a Sound from heaven as of a Rushing Mighty Wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

We may NOT be able to see the Wind or the Holy Spirit, but we can feel and see the effects thereof.

*And there appeared unto them Cloven Tongues like as of Fire, and it sat upon each of them.

I think, as Moses saw the Burning Bush in the Wilderness; even so, those that were in that room when the Holy Ghost Came Down on them; were able to see the Cloven Tongues like as of Fire.

*And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to Speak with other Tongues, as the Spirit Gave them Utterance.

When there is a Powerful Wind, everyone can feel and see the effects thereof. In like manner; everyone should be able to feel and see the effects of the Holy Ghost when It Moves in their midst.

In Revelation 7:1-3 we read; And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the Four Winds of the earth, that the Wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

The first thing that comes to my mind here is; “How can there be corners of the earth when the earth is round?  Of course, we know that it is speaking in a metaphor.

The Wind, that is mentioned here in Revelation 7:, is a Great Wind of Destruction that is Coming upon the earth and the inhabitants thereof in the Last Days, just before the Second Coming of Jesus.

*And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the Seal of the Living GOD: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, *Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have Sealed the Servants of our GOD in their foreheads.

The LORD is in the Process of Sealing the Saints right now, for we are known by the things that we do and say.

The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 64:6-7 wrote; But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the Wind, have taken us away.

Our own righteousness being as filthy rags means; no matter how many good things we do or how elegantly we speak; there is NO thing that we can say or do, in and of ourselves, that will produce the Righteousness of GOD.

However, that being said; we can Thank and Praise the LORD that Jesus has Made us to be the Righteousness of GOD in Him (Jesus), 2nd Corinthians 5:21.

*And there is none that calleth upon THY NAME, that stirreth up himself to take hold of THEE: for THOU hast hid THY Face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

The sad truth is that there aren’t very many folks today that truly cry out to the LORD night and day. One day when these folks need the LORD to help them, HE may NOT hear them when they cry unto HIM. Therefore, it behooves us to stay in Close Communion with the LORD every day when things are okay; so that when we Call upon HIM in the time of need, He will Hear and Answer our Prayer.

King David in Psalms 18:6-10 wrote; In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my GOD: HE Heard my voice out of HIS Temple, and my cry came before HIM, even into HIS Ears.

King David was a man after the LORDS’ own heart, Acts 13:22; he acknowledged his sins and repented; therefore, when King David Called upon the LORD in his time of need, the LORD Answered him.

*Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because HE was Wroth. *There went up a Smoke out of HIS Nostrils, and Fire out of HIS Mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. *HE Bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under HIS Feet. **And HE Rode upon a Cherub, and did fly: yea, HE did fly upon the Wings of the Wind.

The LORD, like a Whirlwind will Avenge HIS Saints and Deliver them out of ALL their distresses, Psalms 107:6, 13, 19 & 28.

The Wind of the LORD can be smooth and easy or it can be quick and violent.

In closing, let me repeat the first Scripture that I started with where the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 26:3 wrote; THOU wilt keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

I don’t know about you but I want to be Kept in Perfect Peace in the LORD. Praise the LORD for that which HE is about to Do!
